Yes, I'm actually going to Boskone for the first time in many years. I wasn't hired for the Dance Flurry this year, alas, so I had a free weekend, and Boskone decided they'd like to have some indoor croquet, so...
Oddly enough, Boskone is held in the same hotel at Arisia, so it's going to be kind of weird, like a continuation the same con, but with three quarters of the population and programming gone. Happily, though, I'm not going to be overworked, since I'm only doing the croquet. My schedule:
Martian Croquet: A Steampunk Diversion
Saturday, 5:30pm-7pm, Galleria-Demo
Susan de Guardiola
Victorian explorers, adventurers, chrononauts, and aethernauts! Join us in the fine sands of the remote Martian Canal Estates, where the well-dressed 19th-century tourist and all civilized alien entities may indulge in the genteel yet cut-throat Martian pastime of parlor croquet. Portable gravity generators encouraged to prevent loss of croquet balls into the aether. Steampunk, historical, or science fictional costume encouraged for all species. Tentacular assistance prohibited.
The observant will recognize this item from previous Arisia and Balticon schedules. Teeny-tiny croquet on tabletops.
I plan to hear Scalzi speak and as many of Tricky Pixie and S.J. Tucker's concerts as I can squeeze in, and other than that, just relax and hang out, see the art show, maybe help with the Chicon table or something. So for once, this is a GOOD con to find me to chat!
My best wishes, Susan!
I wish I could go.

Bill,Thanks. I was looking at the Nebula wkeeend in the new year. Unfortunately, it's the one wkeeend I already have an out of town commitment. That's the kind of writing workshop that I'm definitely interested in, and would be looking to go otherwise. I missed out on the workshops at Capclave this year, but will definitely sign up for them next year.
