After working like a mad thing running the Hugo Ceremony at last year's worldcon, this year at Lonestarcon I wanted a very easy, relaxed schedule that would allow me time to enjoy being back in Texas (one of my home states) for the first time in sixteen years and remind me that worldcons are supposed to be fun experiences. So I have a very sensible three program items and no other scheduled work. I did dutifully volunteer for a few things, but none of them worked out, which does not really bother me. I expect I'll do some low-level volunteerage here and there, nothing too stressful.
In addition to the below items, I expect to attend the Friday and Saturday business meetings (and Sunday, if business spills over). That will be right up there with having my toenails pulled off as far as fun goes, but there are issues up for discussion regarding which I have some decided opinions. I'll also presumably be happily in the audience at the masquerade, Hugos, and opening ceremonies (assuming they are revealing the Hugo trophy there). I will be helping out the Helsinki in 2015 worldcon bid in some as-yet-undetermined fashion.
Otherwise, I am trying to be aggressively unscheduled this worldcon. I realize that doesn't really square with the previous paragraph, but truly, for me, this is a relaxed schedule!
